7. Tracking Technologies and Cookies

7.1 Cookies

ClassZen uses cookies (small text files placed on your device) to personalize your online experience. We may use both session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain on your device until you delete them. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline them. If you decline cookies, some ClassZen features may not operate as expected. If you use our websites without changing your cookie settings, you are indicating your consent to receive all cookies from our websites.

7.2 Log Data

We may collect information about your activity on our websites, such as IP addresses, browser type, domain names, access times, landing pages, and referring website addresses. We use this information to monitor the operation and security of our services, maintain service quality, and provide general statistics regarding use of our websites.

7.3 Web Beacons and Pixel Tags

Our websites and emails may use pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, or similar technologies to measure the success of marketing campaigns, help manage the operation of our services, compile statistics about usage and response rates, and for other purposes. Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, embedded invisibly in web pages or emails to track the online movements of users.

7.4 Web Analytics Tools

We use third-party analytics services, such as Vercel Web Analytics, to help us improve our services and understand how visitors interact with our websites. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and stores only anonymized data. Visitors are identified by a temporary hash that resets daily, so they cannot be tracked across different days or different websites. Learn more in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.

7.5 Do Not Track and Advertising

We do not currently support "Do Not Track" or similar browser preferences. We do not use third-party advertising networks or serve targeted advertising on our websites.

8. Email Preferences and Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe from our communications at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in the footer of our emails. You cannot unsubscribe from messages related to transactions or other activities arising from your continued use of our services, such as automatic system notifications, status alerts, or service notices related to your account.

9. Policy Updates and Modifications

We may change this Privacy Policy and our practices over time. If this policy changes in a material way, the version in place when you submitted personal information to us will generally govern that information. The current version will always be available at https://classzen.co/privacy.

10. Protection of Minors

Our websites are not for individuals under age 18. Those individuals should not create an account, access our websites, or provide personal information to us directly. Parents or legal guardians may book classes or services for minors through their own accounts, and in doing so may provide information about the minor (such as name and attendance) to ClassZen and to the Provider offering the class. Providers are responsible for their own use of that information, as described in Section 2. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us using the information in Section 1 so that we may delete it.

11. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your personal information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may be less stringent than those in your country and where the government, courts, or law enforcement may be able to access your information. By submitting your personal information to us, you agree to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the privacy practices of websites or applications that we do not own or operate.

Thank you for taking the time to review the ClassZen Privacy Policy!
